Ai Weiwei

This commemorative set features 66, skate decks, each hand signed and numbered with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA), which was produced in 2017 to mark the first 100 days of the Trump administration. Although the edition was produced in a set of 666, only 66 of them are accompanied by a hand-signed COA from Ai Weiwei, making them extremely rare and highly sought after by collectors.
The artwork featured on the skate decks is based on Ai Weiwei’s provocative work that was exhibited during the “Fuck Off” art exhibition at the Third Shanghai Biennale in 2000. The iconic “Study of Perspective – White House” piece is a powerful example of Ai Weiwei’s artistic activism and a critical response to the current political climate in the United States.
